I started this blog as a place to document my journey with health and wellness – my battle with autoimmune disorders and the process of learning about food, diet, supplements, etc… basically learning how to feed my body PROPERLY in order to heal from the chronic autoimmune disorders I suffer from.
A quick overview of what I’m dealing with…
Autoimmune Thyroid Disorder, also known as Hashimoto’s disease.
Fibromyalgia, which causes my body to have chronic pain and fatigue.
Endometriosis, a disease that has severely damaged my reproductive system.
All three of these problems contribute to my 39 year old body feeling like a 90 year old persons body. It’s no fun to say the least.
Modern medicine has not been a solution for me. Taking pain medications in order to get through my day is not the route I wish to take. I want to be healthy and strong, not medicated and sick.
So here starts, or rather continues, my journey to a healthy body. I will post information that I find helpful and document the changes that diet, supplements, exercise, etc has on my body.
I’m excited for the future of living free of muscle pain, joint pain, extreme fatigue, and the list goes on… My hope is that my thyroid disorder will stabilize and with that the fibromyalgia should follow. The endometriosis is an entirely different ball game but I shall see what I can accomplish as I make these lifestyle changes.
